Underwater Filter?

I heard that most underwater filters are bad? And I’m wondering because I have one in my tank now. Why is it bad? Here is a link to my underwater filter I’m using.. is this one ok? If not, why isnt it ok?

Its a 10 gallon tank

Other filter styles may have advantages, such as not taking up tank space, or more versatility, easier cleaning, etc….. But a lot of that is personal preference.

If the filter moves enough water through to keep the water clean and you are satisfied with it, that’s all that really matters.
