I’m going to get a 100 gallon plus aquarium tank and i was wondering what kind of fish I should put in it.?

I would like to have oscars in this fish tank and i want to have other colorful and agressive fish also, what are some other fish that would i want and would work well with oscars?

A 100 gallon tank will be great for a rougher crowd, but it is easy to get carried away and overstock. First off, you’ll need to set up/ cycle the tank. If you don’t know what I mean when I say cycle, look it up, and do it, or your fish will die. If you do, then I’m sorry for patronizing you, and we can proceed.

For a 100 gallon setup, I’d suggest getting the following:

One oscar
3 striped headstanders
One pictus catfish

Lots of rocks & driftwood, don’t bother with plant decor, as it will simply be torn up. Don’t skimp on filtration, use either two very powerful hang-on-back filters (~ combined flow of 400gph for a 100 gallon tank,) or a canister or wet-dry. Wet-dry is probably your best option.
