best way to clean a 2.5 gallon acrylic tank with gravel, fake plant and ornament.?

I have seen magnetic cleaning devises and such, but looking for the best way to clean the tank, in addition to 25% water changes. Thank you in advance!

I have a few 2.5 Gallons and 5 Gallons tanks, I always feel those magnetic don’t do the job very well and it do damage the surface of the tank. You know, I get a toothbrush and soak it in water a few time to make sure it is save to put it in my tank. Then, everytime I do water change, I just use the toothbrush to clean off algae that have been build up on the side of the tank.

Also, as ZooTycoonMaster mention, you do need to clean your gravel.
