Is there a way to make a home made net breeder?

I want to make a net breeder for my platies so they she won’t eat them. Is there a way to make one where the babies go down some holes to another small contaner while the mom gives more babies? Thanks!

i tried makeing a breeder net for guppy babies to live in to protect them from the parents but it was very complicated i used popcicle stick mesh netting from walmart fabric section and hot glue and glue gun ( hot glue is the only thing that won’t be toxic to the fish as far as the glue goes) even if you do make a breeder net for the babies to drop down they will swim back out of it to the top . the best way i’ve figured out to buy fake breeder grass from walmart or a pet store or artifical plants make a good size bunch of crowded plants in one side of the tank anchored by the gravel this creates a safe place for the babies to hide the babies will hide in the plants ( this is the method that i use ) just be sure to do the 25 % water change 2 times a week while you have female plattys dropping babies ) cause the ammonia level spikes from the moms having babies hope it helps
