Accidentally washed the bio wheels on my brand new marineland penguin 350 filter. is that ok?

I just got a marineland penguin 350 filter and i accidentally washed the bio wheels before i put them in . I used tap water on it and put a little prime in to eliminate it.

Bio wheels don’t actually have bacteria on them until they get used. So you’re ok. Just don’t wash them once you’ve started using them. You should never have to rinse them (unless they get crap on the edges, then just wipe it off) or replace them.
