Rotting Malaysian Driftwood with Java Moss?

Will I have to remove my driftwood after it starts rotting? I have java moss on it and I think it is dyding because the wood is rotting. Should I remove the java moss and just get new driftwood?

What makes you think the wood is rotting? Do you see white “fuzz” on it? That is just the initial decay as a result of the introduction to water, and will go away after a month or two. The cloud is a fungus that is entirely harmless to fish, plants, and everything else. The best way to control it is by vacuuming it off and keeping it in an area of high water flow. The Moss is likely browning as a result of high temperature (it doesn’t do well much higher than the low 80s), or even just adjusting to a new environment if you recently added it to the tank. It’s nothing to worry about; you should see it bounce back quickly.
