How do u get xplorer kit on pokemon pearl?

in eterna city in the old mans house, i talked to him and he said:
“you’ve not gone underground yet? To get to the underground tunnels, you need only to use your explorer kit. but yo need to be outside. it cant be used indoors or a cave. now, off you go!”
then what do i do?

You just have to be outside on plain grass or even on the concrete. You can’t be indoors or in a cave, though. Go to ‘key items’ and press use when you click on your explorer kit. You should be underground in no time!!! ^^) Hope this helped!!!
