Aquariums should be tempered glass because the glass must withstand great pressure with the tank full of water, fish and accessories. If glass is not strong enough that only may give way and all the fish and everything in the tank will be on the floor. Glass is also very heavy and can not nobody can pick up once it fills with water and fish, and so is the reason for an aquarium stand is used, and the tank should be placed in the system and then filled.
